Fresh tea in tulip glasses, something sweet, and ten minutes on where these lamps come from.

The room goes dark and every lamp switches on together. Then yours goes home with you.

From the gold glass of Hagia Sophia to the lamp-lit lanes of Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, people have set coloured glass by hand to make a room glow. Every maker has their own patterns, and no two lamps come out the same. Now it's your turn at the table.

The last ten minutes are why people come back. The room goes dark and a dozen lamps you watched being made switch on at once. Bring your camera, and leave with a lamp made by your own hands.

Your ticket price depends on what you make. Everything else is included: glass, beads, tools, tea, sweets and your hosts. Coming along but not making? A companion seat is €25.

WHERE WE MEET

Our Dublin sessions run in the Workshop Room at Richmond Barracks in Inchicore, a restored 19th-century building a short Luas ride from the city centre. For groups, we bring the whole table to you, anywhere in Ireland.
